Fisker of Orange County unveils Karma in spectacular fashion... wait, what?

Filed under: EV/Plug-in, Hybrid, Green Daily, Fisker

Our eyes bulged as the newswire blazed with this hot story. To our disbelief, Fisker of Orange County just unveiled the Karma, the world's first eco-chic, eco-friendly luxury performance car. The vehicle was "successfully revealed" and "so many excited spectators" took part in this "spectacular event," yet we weren't invited to attend. Okay, perhaps a bit of the info was shuffled around to make the intro to this article a little more sarcastic, but seriously, the announcement from Fisker of Orange County reads like we've never laid eyes on the Karma plug-in before. Of course, that's simply not true.

If an unveiling didn't happen, then what prompted Fisker of Orange County to claim it did? As it turns out, the Fisker Karma - you know, that yet-to-be-driven plug-in hybrid - made another public appearance, but this time it was at the Henry Samueli School of Engineering at UC Irvine on July 22nd. The Karma is just making its rounds across the U.S. as Fisker tries build up even more hype for its oft-delayed vehicle, but if you're really intrigued to find out more about this less-than-spectacular unveiling of the Karma, then hit the jump.
