Filed under: Etc., Manufacturing/Plants, Natural Gas, Green Daily

California-based Creative Bus Sales, the largest commercial bus dealership in the U.S., has officially opened the doors of its 30,000-square-foot alternative fuel conversion facility in Elkhart, IN. The facility will perform the necessary tasks to convert gasoline-powered buses, trucks and vans to run on either propane or compressed natural gas (CNG).

Creative Bus Sales has chosen to name the new facility Green Alternative Systems (aka GAS, get it?) and hopes to turn out hundreds of converted vehicles for OEM manufacturers and dealerships across the country each year. The Elkhart facility is Creative Bus Sales' second site dedicated solely to alternative fuel conversions. The company opened a similar conversion facility in Chino, CA. Follow the jump for more info on Creative Bus Sales' recently opened alt-fuel conversion facility.
